Step 3

Made a decision to turn our lives and our wills over to the care of God.

In the third step, we invite God to be in charge of our lives and our will. That means turning our conscious decision-making processes over to Him and learning about the way he works instead of relying on our old nature. 

In the past, we have rejected God’s ways because we thought they were too restrictive or perhaps we just didn’t care at all. When we turn things over to God, we discover that His ways are actually not as limiting as we thought. In fact, they are very freeing and desireable.

It is an ongoing process of acknowledging who is Lord. There are a lot of “things” out there in the world trying to be Lord of our lives, but Jesus is the only Lord who delivers life transformation.

If we don’t turn our actions over to God every day, we begin to slip back into old habits and lose the progress we have made. us.
