Step 7
Humbly asked Him to remove all our shortcomings.
In the seventh step, we sit down with God and ask him to change us. Our process so far has revealed areas of ourselves that we can improve, but now comes the hard work of making core changes to who we are so we don’t fall back into our old patterns.
We know from our past failed attempts at change, that we are no good at changing on our own. We need God’s help.
Transformation requires more than we can accomplish on our own. Tapping into the power to change is a gift that the Holy Spirit will readily give if we are humble enough to ask him for it every day.
Spiritual Connection
Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide them. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.”
And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.
